Alliance of Sahel States to Hold Ministerial Meeting on Development Agenda

The Alliance of Sahel States (AES) is set to host a pivotal ministerial meeting on Thursday, January 15, 2025, focused on advancing its regional development agenda.

A key item on the agenda is the creation of an investment bank for member states—Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger—aimed at fostering regional economic growth and strengthening financial collaboration.

In preparation for the meeting, Mali’s Minister of Economy and Finance held a session with AES experts to evaluate priority initiatives under the “Development Pillar.”

These efforts aim to establish a foundation for sustainable development and economic resilience across the Sahel region.
