Burkina Faso Allocates 80 Billion FCFA for Bobo-Dioulasso Airport Renovation

The Burkinabe government has announced an 80 billion FCFA investment to renovate Bobo-Dioulasso Airport, in collaboration with financial partners.

The project includes the design, rehabilitation, and construction of aeronautical and non-aeronautical infrastructure to enhance the airport’s capacity and service quality.

Key developments will feature a new terminal capable of handling at least 1.5 million passengers annually, along with the rehabilitation of the runway, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas.

Additional road infrastructure will also be developed to support airport access.

The modernized airport aims to provide high-quality facilities for air transport operators and is expected to stimulate growth in hospitality, tourism, and commerce in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso’s economic hub and second-largest city.
