Burkinabe Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, presented his administration’s priorities to Joann Lockard, the United States ambassador to Burkina Faso.
The meeting held on Tuesday, emphasized mutual respect and the need for enhanced collaboration, with Ouédraogo declaring that “the era of the private domain is over.”
The Prime Minister outlined key national priorities, including security, food sovereignty, the development of production sectors, and the affirmation of Burkina Faso’s sovereignty. These priorities, he said, reflect the government’s commitment to addressing critical challenges facing the nation.
Ambassador Lockard expressed her appreciation for the exchange, stating that it would help the new American administration better align its support with Burkina Faso’s priorities.
She emphasized the longstanding and strong relations between Washington and Ouagadougou, expressing optimism about continued diplomatic progress under the new administration.
