Chadian Government Dismisses Rumors of Terrorist Infiltration in N’Djamena

The Chadian government has refuted rumors of a terrorist infiltration in the capital, N’Djamena, following reports from the Facebook page Tchadone, operated by Chadian activists, about the possible entry of armed individuals into the city.

In a statement issued on November 3, Foreign Minister and government spokesman Abdraman Koulamallah sought to reassure both the public and the international community regarding national security.

The Tchadone page had posted an alarming message on November 2, alleging the arrival of a “small group of attackers” in N’Djamena, referencing “information from intelligence services” and mentioning skirmishes in Dandi, a locality near the capital.

The post urged residents to remain vigilant in light of these claims.

In response, government officials emphasized that the security situation remains stable, with no specific threats detected.

The Chadian defense and security forces continue to maintain vigilance and conduct security operations, particularly in the strategically important Lake Chad region.

The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring the peace and security of its citizens while urging the population to remain alert against misinformation.
