Côte d’Ivoire is strengthening its fight against terrorism by renewing its security partnership with the African Union (AU). This decision follows the visit of Bankole Adeoye, the AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, to Abidjan and the International Academy for the Fight Against Terrorism (AICLT) in Jacqueville.
The renewed partnership aims to enhance Côte d’Ivoire’s capabilities in combating terrorism through increased cooperation, training, and resource sharing. The visit by Commissioner Adeoye underscores the commitment of both Côte d’Ivoire and the AU to address the growing threat of terrorism in the region.
The International Academy for the Fight Against Terrorism (AICLT) in Jacqueville plays a crucial role in this partnership, serving as a hub for training security forces and developing strategies to counter terrorism. By bolstering this collaboration, Côte d’Ivoire seeks to improve its preparedness and response to terrorist threats.
This initiative is part of a broader regional effort to enhance security and stability in the region, as countries in the region face increasing challenges from extremist groups.
