Three officials from the former administration of George Weah have been arrested and jailed on charges of economic sabotage, misuse of public money, theft, criminal conspiracy, and criminal facilitation, among other allegations.
The arrests followed a complaint from the Ministry of Justice and the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission.
The detained officials are accused of engaging in activities that undermined public trust and misappropriated government funds.
