Gambia’s President Reaffirms Commitment to Press Freedom

Gambian President Adama Barrow has reiterated his administration’s commitment to press freedom, highlighting the media’s role as a key partner in national development.

Speaking at The Gambia’s first-ever presidential media dinner, held at the Government House in Banjul, President Barrow commended the media for shaping public discourse and bolstering democracy.

He called for stronger collaboration between the government and media professionals to advance shared goals.

During the event, the President pledged to address concerns raised by journalists, reaffirming his dedication to creating a supportive and enabling environment for media practitioners.
