Ghana’s Electoral Commission Urge Parties To Accept December 7 Election Outcome

Ghana’s Electoral Commission has called on various political parties intending to contest in the December 7 elections to accept the outcomes of the polls.

The commission’s chairperson, Jean Mensa, emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability by refraining from spreading falsehoods that could undermine state institutions.

In a related development, Fitch Solutions, a London-based international research and data firm, has predicted a win for John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana’s December 2024 general elections.

This prediction has added to the political discourse as parties prepare for the upcoming elections.

In response, regional Political expert say the Electoral Commission’s appeal highlights the need for a unified commitment to democratic processes and the integrity of the electoral system, ensuring that the election results are respected and that any disputes are handled through legal and peaceful means.
