Ghana’s President-elect Pledges Transparency and Economic Reforms in New Year

Ghana’s President-elect John Dramani Mahama has vowed to address the challenges left by the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration, emphasizing transparency, fiscal discipline, and reducing corruption.

In his 2025 New Year address, Mahama promised streamlined governance, strengthened accountability, and an inclusive leadership approach.

He outlined plans to empower entrepreneurs by simplifying bureaucratic processes, removing barriers, and providing resources to drive job creation and economic growth.

As Mahama prepares for his swearing-in on January 7, Ghanaians are hopeful for impactful reforms and decisive solutions to the nation’s pressing challenges.
