Ghana’s outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo has conferred the prestigious Order of the Star of Ghana, Officer Award on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during the 2024 National Honours and Awards ceremony held in Accra on Monday.
The annual event recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Ghana in various fields.
This year’s honorees included ministers of state, public and civil servants, business leaders, and professionals from diverse sectors.
A posthumous award was also presented in honor of Black Pan-Africanist Marcus Garvey, acknowledging his enduring legacy.
In his address, President Akufo-Addo praised the awardees for their dedication and urged them to continue striving toward a resilient and prosperous Ghana.
