Ghana’s President Tasks UN to address poverty and inequality In Africa

Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has tasked the United Nations Organization to address poverty and inequality.

In a recent address to United Nations General Assembly in New York, he noted that, peacekeeping efforts alone are insufficient to achieve lasting stability in Africa.

The president pointed out that poverty, inequality, and a lack of opportunities are driving instability across Africa.

He argued that peace cannot be imposed by external forces but must be cultivated from within African nations themselves, through efforts to create inclusive growth, opportunities, and social justice.
