Malian Transitional President, General Assimi Goïta, has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to youth employment and training under the “Mali Kura” initiative by allocating 1 billion 130 million 867,423 CFA francs to young graduates.

On Monday, the Transitional Government presented the funds to the 13th contingent of the Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment (APEJ).

The program, aimed at enhancing the employability of young graduates, received 23,755 applications, with 2,500 selected for a 12-month professional training internship.

Participants have been placed in public services, consular organizations, and NGOs, where they gain hands-on experience essential for their future careers.

During the ceremony, President Goïta underscored the critical role of youth in Mali’s reconstruction efforts.

He stated, “On this solemn day, we are proud to celebrate the consecration of Malian youth.

This renewed pact is based on a vision: that of a strong, sovereign, united, prosperous Mali resolutely turned towards a bright future.”

The program highlights Mali’s dedication to empowering its youth as a cornerstone of national development.
