Mali’s Transitional President Pledges to Restore Stability

Mali’s transitional President, Colonel Assimi Goita, has pledged to enhance the nation’s security, focusing on restoring territorial integrity and ensuring lasting peace and stability.

He made this commitment during a televised address marking the 64th anniversary of Mali’s independence.

Colonel Goita paid homage to the late President Modibo Keita, who played a significant role in Mali’s independence on September 22, 1960, and honored the sacrifices of those who fought for the country’s sovereignty.

He called on Malians to remain committed to preserving the legacy of the martyrs who contributed to building a sovereign and prosperous nation.
