New AES Passports Enters Circulation

The Alliance of Sahel States( AES) has officially launched the circulation of its national passport.

General Daoud Aly Mohammedine, Malian Minister of Security and Civil Protection made the announcement on state owned Nigerien television.

This identity document will coexist with the ECOWAS passport, which will remain valid until its expiration date.

Citizens will be able to choose to keep their ECOWAS passport or opt for the new AES passport, under the same conditions and rates, with identical procedures for obtaining it from the border police.
