Nigerian Army Dismantles Oil Theft Syndicates and Neutralizes Terrorists in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has successfully dismantled several oil theft syndicates, deactivating 37 illegal sites, and neutralizing terrorists in Kaduna State, according to an official statement.

Troops from the Six Division discovered 10 illegal connection points and destroyed six wooden boats used to transport stolen oil products.

The army has ramped up clearance operations across the creeks, waterways, and rivulets of the Niger Delta region, aiming to deny criminal elements freedom of action.

In collaboration with other security agencies, the troops apprehended over nine suspected oil thieves, seized seven vehicles, eight motorcycles, four trucks, and several pumping machines used for the illicit activities.

More than 221,000 litres of illegally refined products were confiscated.

In a separate operation, troops stationed in Kwaga village, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, ambushed terrorists transiting along the Birnin Gwari-Manini axis.

An intense firefight ensued, resulting in the elimination of at least two terrorists.

The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
