Niger’s transitional government has announced the introduction of free roaming services, allowing users with phone plans to travel and receive calls and messages at no additional cost across other AES member countries.
The initiative was solidified through a memorandum of understanding, establishing free roaming services among AES member states.
The decision has been met with widespread approval in Niger, with notable praise from the National Coordination of the Citizens’ Committee for Combating the High Cost of Communication.
This move represents a significant step towards regional connectivity and reducing communication expenses for citizens.
