Liberian President Joseph Boakai, has canceled the positions of all Ambassadors Special Envoys, and Trade and Investment Representatives, effective immediately.
The announcement was made during a press conference on October 24, 2024, by Information Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT).
Minister Piah stated that re-appointments will be based on the country’s current governance priorities and assured that the process would be conducted with transparency and respect.
He also indicated that all former appointees would be formally notified and thanked for their contributions to the nation.
This decision reflects the government’s intention to align its diplomatic representation with its evolving strategic goals.
