President Tinubu Cuts Nigeria’s Delegation to UN Meeting in New York.

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has ordered a reduction in the size of the official delegation for the upcoming  United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meetings in New York, United States. This directive was announced by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, during a daylong meeting with the State House management on Saturday in Abuja, which included the heads of government agencies under its supervision.

The meeting, themed “Strengthening Institutional Mechanism for Effective Delivery,” focused on enhancing the coordination and collaboration among government agencies. During his address, Gbajabiamila emphasized that the decision to streamline Nigeria’s delegation to the 79th session of UNGA in September is part of the administration’s broader commitment to prudent resource management and reducing the cost of governance.

He also noted that the retreat would be an ongoing exercise, as governance is a dynamic process that requires regular adjustments to ensure effective delivery and accountability.
