Senegal’s General Directorate of Elections has unveiled the provisional list of political parties and coalitions approved to participate in the upcoming early legislative elections scheduled for November.
A total of around 40 political parties and coalitions have been validated, including the ruling party PASTEF, as well as notable lists such as one led by former President Macky Sall, another headed by Dakar Mayor Barthélémy Dias, and a list led by former Prime Minister Amadou Ba, who was a candidate in the recent presidential election.
The legislative elections come at a crucial time for Senegal’s political landscape, with significant competition expected among these key figures and their respective parties.
