Doctors in Sierra Leone have announced the suspension of their planned sit-down strike, which was set to begin on Wednesday.
The strike was in response to delays in receiving their quarterly fuel allocation, a benefit outlined in the Sierra Leone Civil Service Code.
During a press conference on Monday, the doctors expressed frustration, accusing the government of failing to address their concerns after issuing a 21-day ultimatum, which expired on October 22, 2024.
The suspension comes as they await further dialogue with the government on the matter.
