UNIPGC Reiterates Commitment to Global Peace, Recognises Isheri Monarch

The United Nations Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC) has reiterated the critical importance of fostering global peace and promoting good governance.

Amb. Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, Global President of UNIPGC, emphasized this mandate during a courtesy visit to the newly crowned Onisheri of Isheri, His Royal Majesty Oba Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Lawal Bello, Ilufemiloba Aremo Olofin Ogunfunminire, Olanwa I Olofin V.

In his remarks, Amb Dr. Ojadah highlighted UNIPGC’s focus on advancing key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including poverty eradication, quality education, sustainable peace, strategic partnerships, and recognising reputable figures in society.

During the ceremony, Oba Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Lawal Bello was honoured with the prestigious title of “Commander of Peace” (COP) for his outstanding contributions to sustainable peacebuilding in the Isheri Olofin Kingdom, Alimosho, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Additionally, the monarch was appointed to the UNIPGC Advisory Council under the Committee of Culture and Tradition, further solidifying his global influence.

Amb. Dr. Jonathan Ojadah is also scheduled to visit the newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo in Southwest Nigeria as part of his peacebuilding initiatives.
